Reminna Remote connection in Debian Thinbook and RDP connection from Windows PC
Dear Team
I configured my Debian pc with a static IP address through WLAN (USB2WLAN connector). I use a Windows 10 PC in the lab and in my room. So, I would like to connect to my Debian pc from windows PC and vice versa. I use default remote desktop connection app to connect a windows pc from my windows 10 PC.
- I request you to help me which software is required to install in Debian pc to connect to a windows PC with a GUI.

You can install remmina remote desktop tool on RDP laptop.
This tool will help you access Windows machine from your Linux laptop.
Simply install using the following repository:
- echo 'deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian stretch-backports main' | sudo tee --append /etc/apt/sources.list.d/stretch-backports.list >> /dev/null
- sudo apt update
- sudo apt install -t stretch-backports remmina remmina-plugin-rdp remmina-plugin-secret
Once set follow the instructions on remmina user guide to complete your remote connection.
On windows, there is no additional software installation required, however, you can follow the instructions given on the support page.
