LED above F3 key
The LED above F3 key is always glowing. What is it indicating, and how can I turn it off?

0There are 3 Blue LEDs near F3-F4 keys.
- Above F3 Key is Power LED(LED ON when the laptop is turned ON)
- Next key on the right is Caps lock key(LED ON -> Caps lock ON)
- Next key on the right is Num pad key(LED ON -> Num pad ON, which means the keys J, K, L, M etc will now work as number keys)
The leftmost RED LED is for charging (LED ON -> Charing in progress).
I'm afraid the Power LED above F3 cannot be turned off.
0If RED LED is for charging why it keep on blinking when my battery is 100% and it is not on charging ?
I have noticed this issue in past, but couldn't reproduce it anymore.
Try updating your Kernel. See the update-4 instructions in the given link https://ld.iitb.ac.in/?q=Software%20Updates
The kernel update may have fixed it for me.

Could you please help me with the steps to reproduce at my end?
I tried 100% charge method you mentioned, but I didn't get the blinking LED.
In my case it blink almost every time I boot-up, because of that reason only i thought it is some what connected to cpu usage. But your explanation about RED LED left me thinking about what it really indicates

I know it is too late to respond but incase it help others.
This issue is at hardware level and not at software level. There is bunch of wire connected to motherboard port whose connecting port is secure by duct tape. This is the root cause of the problem. In my case one of the connection got loosen. Fixed it by tightly securing the port.
