DWSIM - Crude Desalter Simulator

Crude Desalter Simulator

I am trying to simulate the Crude Column Preheat section, where in there is Crude Desalter with the use of "Compound Separator" as a Flow Sheet Object.

1. Is there any other object better suited for the above application?

2. Separator does not separate the two components even after specifying separation factor for Desalter / Separator

Can you please provide your recommendation to the above issues?

1. Currently, compound separator is the only unit operation available for crude desalter.

2. Please share your DWSIM file containing compound separator where you are trying to achieve the separation (share through g-drive). Also mention the separation factors for one of the outlet streams.
