python plotting error and global label error

PYTHON PLOTTING ERROR "Error while opening plotting editor. Please look at the console for more details" appears whenever I opt for simulation.

GLOBAL LABEL ERROR Using global label in schematic shows error in ERC as"Global label not common to any other global level"
NGSPICE ERROR Using command "plot v(out)" shows "no such vector out"even though I use a global label 'out' for a node(selecting it as output)
please give me solutions as soon as possible.

Hello Vignesh,

Make sure you have given proper values for analysis.
Incorrect values will lead to such errors.
And also when you connect a global variable, a junction will be placed on the wire to ensure proper connection.

I have given the exact values to the circuit elements. Also i have used a junction while connecting a global label. Same error persists. What can i do to get Python plot ?

send   .cir.out file to contact-esim@fossee.in

or paste your .cir file here.. We can have a look

There is no voltage component added .  What input source you are giving?

My circuit consists of 2 parts. The first part creates square wave , which is fed as an input to the integrator part to obtain saw tooth wave as an output. So there is no need of having a separate voltage source.

Are you giving any feedback from second opamp to first one(so that it can behave as an oscillator, which does not require input signal). How will you get a square wave at the output of 1st opamp?

15-12-17, 12:51 p.m. Gloria

First opamp is a Schmitt circuit and 2nd opamp is an integrator. For clarifications visit. https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.allsyllabus.com/aj/note/ECE/LINEAR_ICs_and_APPLICATIONS/unit5/SAW-TOOTH%2520WAVE%2520GENERATOR.php&ved=2ahUKEwiPrenxgobYAhUIRY8KHQ_mDXsQFjAiegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw03tuc6s_BMf7yrAMonBEIB

Check the value of capacitor

15-12-17, 1:09 p.m. Gloria

Even when I use 0.1u or 0.1 or 0.1n no change occurs.

With reference to the .cir file sent,Please tell me the alterations that I can make to get clear output via Python or ngspice plot

15-12-17, 2:30 p.m. Vignesh

Hello Vignesh,

I am getting ramp, but you need to change design values to get proper output.
I have sent the attached image to your mail id.

15-12-17, 3:07 p.m. Gloria

Have you made any change in the .cir file that I sent you. Still I am not getting the output in ngspice .

15-12-17, 3:22 p.m. Vignesh

No, i did the circuit at eSim and got the output. Due to the design parameters, i.e, value of R and C you will not get exact ramp. So you need to choose the proper values. I added Subckt path for ua741 and D.lib path library for diode.

15-12-17, 3:27 p.m. Gloria

Even after adding subckt, lib paths ,  the same error "No such vector out" displayed in ngspice comm.window (after giving the command ,plot v(out)

15-12-17, 3:41 p.m. Vignesh

I think, you are missing some connection. Send me snap shot of you schematic.

15-12-17, 4:09 p.m. Gloria

You need to use Gnd as ground. You also need to use plot_v from eSim plot to see the output. That is what I was mentioning about . you need to have  voltage source. you place plot_v along with the global variables for both outputs.

15-12-17, 4:35 p.m. Gloria

Ignore the global variable error.
