How to achieve calm water condition in OpenFoam .

My project is to find force and moment acting on a ship in calm water. How can i acheive the calm water condition in the domain using openFoam.

Could you please elaborate your query? Are you simulating a multiphase problem statement? By "calm", do you mean the water is stationary and the ship is stationary as well?

Can be done in two ways 1) keep your ship fixed and provide inlet velocity 2) keep inlet velocity as zero and move your geometry with velocity you need

Hi MS321, Could you provide detail on the problem you want to solve? Is your problem multiphase or are you modeling your problem with a single phase like an external flow? Also, what do you mean by calm water, does it mean still water or water is moving with very low velocity?
