Create a reaction

Hi,

I'm new on DWSIM and would like to create a dehydation reaction (glucose --> HMF + water, C6H12O6 --> C6H6O3 + 3 H2O).

I'm using the conversion reactor (not sure if I should use this one) and get an error message when I create the reaction. Error message: stoichiometry [NOT OK, check coefficients: -125,95].

I followed the tutorial to create a reaction, but it's not working.

I really appreciate if someone could help me.

You get this error when you try to add a reaction that is not balanced. Please ensure that you are entering the stoichiometry for the reaction correctly. Please note that the stoichiometric coefficients of the reactants must be preceded with a negative sign and stoichiometric coefficients of products should be a positive value.

Thank you for your answer. The stoichiometry is correct. I saw on the forum a discussion on a similar error and it was asked if the person had created the coumpound or if the compound is from DWSIM. In my case, I created JSON files for glucose and HMF. I sent a message to contact-dwsim@fossee.in with the files, but I haven't got an answer yet. I'm using DWSIM for Mac. I really appreaciate if someone could help me to solve this issue. Thank you!
