House Site plan data Retrieval

I want to retrieve lost site plan data of House which is registered. Registration papers are also not found. It was occupied by others illegally. How would GIS help in retrieving that data in a legal way. is it possible?

You can only map the house with data that you have, or with other data like aerial imagery, etc.
