Problem with the use of earphones

Whenever I plug the earphones in the laptop, most of the time nothing is audible and the earphones start working only after the laptop is restarted once. Rarely earphones start working If I wait for few minutes after they are plugged in. Sometimes even after restarting the laptop, the earphones don't work and the lapptop has to be restarted multiple times till the earphones get functional.

It seems like hardware trouble with the laptop's audio jack. Please get it examined by the RDP support team.

There is no hardware problem. Earphones work fine when the computer is restarted.

Hi,

There's also a chance the problem isn't with the jack or the headphones you're using but has to do with the audio settings of the device. Just open up the audio settings on your device and check the volume level as well as any other settings that might mute the sound.

have you checked the cable of your earphones? I think the problem is from that.

Install gnome alsa mixer from discover software

Plug in earphone

Open gnome alsa mixer

If headphone is selected just rise or low HP column.

Suspend the system

Again log in to system

Now headphones will work, if it is removed the loudspeakers will work and reconnect headphones, it will work.
